Wifi or Bluetooth smart lock: which to choose for renting?
Not every smart lock works the same way. For remote renting the difference between wifi and bluetooth matters: it decides whether you can manage codes from abroad or have to be on site.

The difference in short
A bluetooth lock only works at close range, through a phone near the door. A wifi lock (or a bluetooth lock with a wifi bridge) is connected to the internet, so you can create and revoke codes remotely. For remote renting an online connection is essentially indispensable.
Many popular locks use a separate bridge that brings the bluetooth lock online.
What to choose for renting
Choose a solution with an internet connection so unique codes per booking are created and expire automatically. Ensure stable wifi in the property, possibly with a bridge near the door. That way you manage everything from your dashboard, wherever you are.
Allow for a fallback if the internet briefly drops, such as bluetooth control on site.
